Not only is it a great thing to get to know people from other places, who know one's way around and can give you insiders' tips, but you also get to know how people from other cultures are living. So I reckon it's a more authentic way of taking a vacation and if you're lucky you may even make a friend.

I guess my favorite book is 'catcher in the rye' by J.D. Salinger
I love all kinds of music, but I mostly listen to rock music. 'Neutral Milk Hotel', 'The Smiths', 'Arcade Fire', 'Alt-J' and 'Animal Collective', however, belong to my favorite bands.
I don't have one particular movie that I like the most, but I like the films of Scorsese, Kubrick, Hitchcock, Tarantino etc.
