My name is Maxim, born and raised in Moscow, Russia. I am currently doing my research in Indianapolis, Indiana.
I am fond of traveling and had several great CS experiences in San Francisco and Chicago, participating in CS meetings in Indy as well.

I am 33 yo, queer, single guy. My hobbies are digital photography, blogging, freewriting, documentary theatre and autofiction, hiking, techno music, and vintage clothing. I adore creative minds and am happy to hang out.

I used to work as a freelance educator in Moscow. After the Russian invasion of Ukraine, I found a scholarly opportunity in Indianapolis and moved here.

I am interested in volunteering (education, queer), event management, and DJing.
I believe in the power of community that's why I have been doing community-management initiatives in Moscow for 5+ years and now practice community-engaged research in the field of education.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been hosting more than 20 live-shows on Russian Radio MAYAK-station. It was a morning show for kids and teenagers about hopes and fears of growing up.
