My name is Maxime Kasasa and I am of Belgian/Congolese descent.

I have always been intrigued by different cultures and languages, always wanting to learn more. I am a people person as I am always keen to meet new people and want to understand their stories. I have already visited more than 25 countries and want to discover many more.

People describe me as someone they can confide in, who is enthusiastic, energetic with a great sense of humour.

I am couchsurfing because I want to get the places that are not popular for tours. I want to discover places that only locals know about and see what they have to offer.

I have a very eclectic music taste which ranges from jazz, electronic, funk and rap. My favourite artists are Daft Punk, Michael Jackson and Kendrick Lamar to name a few.

And I enjoy watching anime such as Space Dandy, Haikyuu and Full Metal Alchemist. But I can also sink my teeth into a good documentary on history and geopolitics.
