Hi there! We are Gaia and Max, a friendly and outgoing couple willing to meet great people while studying and travelling.
We spent the last year studying in Sweden as Erasmus students where we met each other and visited some beautiful parts of Scandinavia.
We are currently travelling in a modest way through north of Italy up to Slovenia. As always, our mindset is to enjoy life in an alternative way to the society of excess we live in, caring for people and our non-human friends, enjoying simple pleasures of life, where happiness lies.
Also: we are travelling with a tent, so even a spot in a garden is a beautiful option for us 🤞

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We believe sharing meals and housing is a very authentic way to travel while meeting local people willing to share about their area.
If you even have the time to spend some hours in our company to do some see sightseeing then it is a perfect match!!

Interests

We are both really curious individuals who love learning more everyday. Max loves to sit with a beer, some music and having deep conversations with anyone willing to, without phones or TV but only people and their thoughts! He is also a lover of nature who craves for hikes, birds and natural places. He loves to play guitar and likes to read. Gaia loves to meet new people while learning new languages and cultures. She admires nature and likes to go out and discover the places that surround her with people or alone. She really likes to dance and socialize. She is interested in new things to discover, to talk about history or social issues.
We are both vegan and love to cook tasty food 😋

We like to listen to Manu Chao, Stromae, Jeff Buckley, The Doors, Supertramp, ABBA… we are quite open in music and love many genres such as indie, pop, reggeton, folk, rock, jazz, bossa nova, hip-hop, rap…
Last great band we discovered is called Black Sea Dahu➡️go and check !

We are huge fans of the series The Office, but sometimes we watch other stuff 😉

Love to read! Many books about ecology, agriculture and how to rethink our relation to « nature » or more correctly life. We love fantasy, sci-fi, comics, novels, philosophy or poetry.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Trekking in the Lofoten islands in the north of Norway with 3 precious friend. A marvelous but challenging hike where we had the chance of seeing beautiful landscapes and fauna. The most intense moment was to observe a group of orcas up from a cliff, facing this deep blue dramatic Arctic Ocean.
