About Me

Hey you

You've seen a big part of the world and while at the moment you're locked into one location, you still love to hear stories from a distant land and bring an inspiring hint of fresh air from the big wide world into your daily routine so that even staying within your own 4 walls (and your comfort zone) you never stop growing (and share your flat with a kindred spirit of adventure who's ready to tear up your habitual lifestyle and share a few unforgettable experience...

Then you're in the right place
if you feel like you've built a nice little nest for yourself where you're comfortable hosting someone, they are going to have a great time...
if they are able to appreciate you...

- have a fresh set of eyes to share old stories with and marvel at them with new curiosity.

- give back to a younger generation who will return the favor in ten years so that young travelers will always have a platform to turn to they can use as a springboard to do something real and unique with their lifes
hear life stories

Especially if you're into skating, we're going to have a great time together.
I am starting up a business in the skateboard / skatewear niche, establishing an online presence with vids at this second.
We can:
- Kick it at the local skatespots.
- Film some content together.
- I can get you hooked up with the best deals in a years time or so...
-- A full wardrobe of the freshest skatewear and gear.

Hi, I'm Max
I'm no taker, looking to contribute to your life weather it is simply by showing grattitude and respecting your rules.
In my experience, hosts here are wise, openminded experts in the living of a good life.
Funny, smart and giving.

By hosting me, youi're supporting a young 20something start up entrepreneur to realize his dream. Perhaps you love the feeling of being able to help & seeing the fruits of your actions sprout into full glory.

I love to hear your stories and see this as an opportunity for growth and cultural exchange, not just a cheap place to stay. I love to go explore your favorite parts of the city and perhaps put my own spin on it.

, (perhaps to collect like Professor Slughorn) to have somebody claim years later you've been a incremental part of his success.

Whatever the case...
I'm looking forward to hearing back from you,
Yours,
Most Sincerely
Maximilian

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

While I am surving on a bare minimum as a surviving tramper for 6 week now.

But I've realized:

To see my project through and really make progress, I need time to spend designing T-Shirts.
So I've thought up a way to give back for you.
I'll design a T-Shirt of a catchphrase of you.

Also:
There are a lot of ways in which we are procrasting our happiness.

"I'll be happy when"

I have the money to travel. I'm finally in the city where I want to be.

Well, when I'm being honest with myself (and at times I forget) I know there is no pressure on me to get anywhere. Success appears to be just a collection of consistant effort.

So, while I'm still building towards my ideal life in a "it's not a sprint, it's a marathon" fashion, I also catch opportunities to remind myself life is good whereever they come up.
It's a way to bring color into your everyday life.
You're experiencing the being of another soul, having a shared adventure.
The hosts I really like are ppl who:
- have seen the world and don't fear the unknown
- can tell me what they love about Frankfurt and teach me something new about the city.

Interests

At home I spend a lot of time creating music. Besides recording vocals for my actual songs I play the Trombone, Guitar and the Piano to a certain extent

To document my journey and the stories that happen along the way, I started vlogging my experiences a while ago. I'm really not good at it yet but I'm looking up information and gaining experience

  • nightlife
  • survival
  • music
  • camping
  • networking
  • personal growth
  • sales & marketing
  • spirituality & meditation
  • nature / serenity

Music, Movies, and Books

Harry Potter Geek. So much I want to name a product after the character Marvolo Gaunt.

To Kill A Mockingbird - Still remember this for it's purity. Just a subtle reminder of how peacefull life can be and all the things that don't matter

Blonde (Frank Ocean) -Frank Oceans most reveired album is a modern masterpiece that carried me through the tough nights back in Berlin and has stayed with me. Every song just feels like a cozy pillow that makes your heart grow just a bit more soft.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Fighting for survival in the nightlife of Miami, providing for myself with only a camera

Even though my hostel was in the hood and there were some moments where I saw my life flashing before my eyes, this fight was not bare with fists.

Arriving in America, I realized that the card I had just did not work any longer. I was standed without a way of getting money. Having already borrowed 50$ from a fellow german, I was in deep trouble.

So my mind went into overdrive - and I came up with a plan: I was going to spend the last cash I had on a larger SD Card, go to Ocean Drive and take pictures for a few tips.

So, camera wrapped around my neck, I went to Ocean Drive.

With every "no thank you" I grew more and more frustrated
Until *bam*, first close. 20$ tip

Within a few hours I had stacked up 120$ in bills. The next day I made another 80$

I'm not saying I lived comfortably, but in that moment I proved to myself that if worst comes to worst, I can take care of myself

Teach, Learn, Share

I am an intent listener, so that your life story will be received well.
I love hearing off adventures most of all. Daring choices. Bold decisions. Moments that happened ages ago that are still keeping you smile.

I am engaged in political activity of the landscape, so that I can chime in nouanced (and balanced) points of view.

So since then, I've gone out regularly, taking in feedback from some of the best teachers in the field.

So that's if you're a bit unconventional ;)

Other than that I like talking about business and I've been a solopreneur from almost 2 years now. I also love both personal growth and spirituality so if you are interested in philosophics remarks every now and then, I'm looking forward to a great time.

But most importantly:

What I Can Share with Hosts

Of course, Ill do my dirty work myself and try to leave the place as clean as I found it..
Prehaps even give you a few suggestions for room improvement haha.
if you love creating content, you can, join me in building up my YouTube channel for skating.

But even more than that: As a thank you for helping me in a time of need I will design a t-shirt 4 u. Anything cool we stumble upon out within my week with you... put it on a T-Shirt. Print it (if god bless I we can afford haha) I've taken up a Fundraising Job so it shouldn't be long.

If you love creative projects, you can reep the energy that is flowing in my life for as inspiration for yourself.
I am hardworking but I also love the process and cherish the creation itself... it's sure to rub off on you.
