About Me
Hi everyone! I'm Max and I'm from Dresden, Germany. I am studying English and French to become a high school teacher. When I'm not doing that, I mostly just like to spent time with my friends, my girlfriend and my family. I really enjoy cooking and eating together or having a nice evening outside or in a bar talking and having a few beers :) I'm also a big fan of doing day trips to interesting places near me. I'm always surprised how much new stuff there is to see locally. In general, I'm just always happy to learn new things!
In my free time, I also like to read, watch movies (I'm always up to talk about that :)) and even playing some FIFA – So if you are interested in football/soccer, we definitely have something to talk about :D I also really enjoy doing some photography, especially when I'm in other countries!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Of course, as a student of English and French, I'm not only interested in the languages but in the countries in which people speak them as well :)
That's why I've already spent an ERASMUS-Semester in France and now I want to get to know the UK first hand. So far, I've spent a week in London and am currently on the wonderful Isle of Wight together with my girlfriend for a few weeks. When she goes back to Germany in late September, I want to stay in the country a bit longer.
I can't wait to see more parts of the country and meet more people!

Music, Movies, and Books
It's quite hard for me to find any true favorites, but I can say that I definitely enjoyed books like The Grapes of Wrath, Native Son, Cat's Cradle and some French (La peste, Terre des Hommes) and German stuff (The Tin Drum...)
I really like the movies of Wes Anderson and Agnès Varda
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The first thing that comes to mind is definitely my ERASMUS-semester in Besançon, France. I met soooo many new people there from so many different places. It was awesome just awesome to experience living in another country with them and to learn new things every day :) There are just so many happy memories that I've made in just a few months, it's truly amazing :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I really like to learn about other cultures and also languages. I'm also a big fan of history and I'm always happy to learn about new cultural references or interesting little facts :D
I can also tell you a bit about Germany and its history and culture :)
If you enjoy cooking, I'm always up to share or try out new recipes!
