Hi Y'all. I'm a aspiring graduate student and mom from East Kentucky. I love to meet new people, and travel to new places (when $$ permits), but in the meantime I like to face each new day with hope and passion.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Right now, I'm just looking for a place to stay temporarily while I visit Louisville. I'm kind of in-between residences right now in East KY, so I can't host anyone as of yet. But in future, I might be interested in that. So if you're ever around East KY, hit me up ~ I'm not far from I-75.

Interests

Studying about the world, studying people, and fighting for social change!! Also, hoping to research Criminal Justice, because I think most theories that supposedly "explain" crime are actually kind of bullshit.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Survived as a 1st generation working class student, and made my way through college. Raised/Am raising some awesome kids. Also part of a social justice movement in East Kentucky, fighting for things like jobs and against local corruption.

I've also taught Marxism in rural West Virginia, worked in the non-profit sector, and once started my own cleaning company.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach anything related to dialectics, materialist philosophy, and sociological theory. You want to understand how to look at the world, I can do my level best to teach you.

I'd also kind of like to learn German, so that I can read Marx in the original text!!
