ABOUT ME:

My name is Max and I am just a guy looking to figure things out traveling the world and discovering new things.

I would like to think that I am very relaxed about most things in life. I am easy going and flexible. I am outgoing and very social, yet also really appreciate time to myself. I guess I am really an Ambivert. Respect, playfulness, tolerance, and open-mindedness hold high importance in my life.

I tried the corporate world and competitive sports and they simply weren't for me. I will eternally be a traveling outdoorsy artsy fartsy dreamer invested in supporting others.

PHILOSOPHY:

We are all human beings regardless of sex, gender, identity, etc. Everyone deserves to be treated equally with kindness and respect.

Be present in the now, believe in yourself, share your life with others, see the positive in everything, appreciate all you have.

Stayed with some great people and know lots of local CSers! I have traveled with and crashed on couches of strangers in all sorts of circumstances, though not necessarily only through CS. I thoroughly enjoy both surfing and hosting!

Quite a few on this list like Burning Man and camping/hiking long periods far out in the wilderness alone and random other things. Top honors probably go to:

Biking unplanned without a phone/map through rural Cambodia, Thailand, and Vietnam for 3 months by myself when I was 19.

Doing a self-planned 550km solo unsupported expedition through the Icelandic highlands for a month.

Flying to the Arctic Ocean in a Cesna 172 for a month while trekking remote areas in northern Canada.
