CURRENT MISSION

Our current mission is to discover Scotland and more precisely the outer Hebrides!
We are leaving Brussels with our backpacks and we want to take the time to discover the country, its cities and islands. We want to meet local people because with know that meeting people is as important as discovering wonderful landscapes. We are also trying to travel as carbon-neutral and environment-friendly as possible. That's why we prefer walking and taking the train to driving and taking the plane.

ABOUT US

We love to travel. And above all, we love to meet new people while travelling.
Félicie is a graphic designer. She loves art, cooking, eating, dancing, sewing and pottery. Among other things.
Max is an English teacher. He loves languages, sailing, cooking, eating as well, music and Ultimate Frisbee. Among other things.

PHILOSOPHY

Taking time to meet people and places, being curious and open-minded towards other cultures and people, respecting places, people and nature, eating good food... That's what drives us!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We participate in Couchsurfing by travelling to hosts and making the project alive. We would also like to be able to host people some day!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've had couchsurfing experiences in the USA (just Max) and in Brazil (Max and Félicie).

Interests

Max:
Sailing is one of my favorite activities, I can say it's a passion of mine. I'v been sailing with my father on old sailing boats since I was 6 months old, and now I am a sailing teacher in France and Belgium. I also have my tiny little sailing boat in Holland (6 meters) on which we spend wonderful, camping-on-water like weekends :)
I also love music. I've played the guitar for over 15 years now and I love discovering new instruments.
Ultimate Frisbee is my sport! Mixed men and women, without referee, without contact... everything I love in sports!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Max : I've climbed a mountain in Russia in July, and there were still 2 meters of snow !

Félicie : I uprooted a tree with bear hands! ;) (That's no joke, I really did it!)

Teach, Learn, Share

Max : since I'm into languages, I can teach some French, some German or some Russian. I can also teach some guitar playing skills.
I would be very glad to learn some gaelic, and also to cook some local dishes ! :)

Félicie : I've done contemporary dance for years, I would be glad to teach you some moves! And if you happen to have a piano at home, we could work something out! Also, if you're interested into learning Dutch, I'm there.
As Max, I'd love to learn some local recipies!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Everything we wrote in the "Teach, Learn, Share" subjet is to share with hosts ! But, of courses, there's still a lot we could talk about : our traveling experiences, etc.
