My mission ... to see the world, and to help others see the world. It's a big place and it's always useful to have a little help!

ABOUT ME

I'm a 24 year old filmmaker from Rugby, England. Until recently I was based in Bristol where myself and some friends set up a production company by the name of 24 Winks Independent Film Productions. Since March 2010 we've made numerous film shorts, documentaries, promotional videos and music videos, including a 22-day outdoor shoot across 3 locations in the South West. I recently edited a feature-length documentary called 'ScumRun IV' for broadcast TV and DVD distribution with a company in Bristol, and am currently developing a reality TV project with a company based in Guildford (I'm on IMDb - my profile's small and I've only got two credits but hoping for more soon!) I'm a singer/songwriter/guitarist and have performed at venues across the country. I also play football in the Bristol Downs League for a team called AFC Retainers, both in goal and as a centre forward.

I really, really love travelling! In 2006 I backpacked around Eastern Europe, 2007 I toured Italy, and 2008 I hopped over to Northern Ireland. However, since the last trip I haven't set foot outside of these shores, and am desperate to rediscover the love of foreign travel! Contrary to popular belief, filmmaking doesn't always pay very well, and so websites such as this are fantastic for saving a few pennies, and are a wonderful place to meet new people. As a filmmaker I love meeting and working with people, and I look forward to making new friends on my travels in the future.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I spent four months couch surfing in Bristol in 2011 whilst participating in numerous film projects in the area. I owe so much to the person who opened up their door to me, and I have a sincere appreciation and respect for everyone who has signed up on this site.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spent a week at school in New Zealand in 1995 at the Fitzroy School in New Plymouth, which was incredible! Worked at Thorpe Park Theme Park outside London when I was 16 which was surreal. Backpacked around Eastern Europe in 2006.
