Hi! I'm Max and 22-year old college graduate with a bad case of wanderlust. I studied International Studies, Political Science, German, and French and I love learning languages and about other cultures. I am currently living in northern Germany as part of a government exchange program between the USA and Germany, where I am allowed to live abroad for a year, essential working as an cultural ambassador. Having been raised to be open-minded and accepting, I love to meet new people.

My friends have told me about the great experiences they had on it, and the idea of kind strangers opening their home to travelers in this awesome community appealed to a cash-strapped college student like myself. I'm always looking for ways to stretch my dollar further, but at the same time get those authentic experiences that every traveler craves. I believe Couchsurfing does just that because it is an exchange of stories, ideas, and cultures.

I've kayaked the Bio-Luminescent of Fajardo, Puerto Rico at dusk under a tunnel of crooked branches to see the water beneath light up with neon blue, like stars dancing in the night sky.
