I am a married mom of 4, looking for new adventures as my kids are older now. I love to travel, though I haven't done nearly enough. I enjoy meeting new people and having new experiences- especially ones that give a bit of an adrenaline rush!! I love history, though it's somewhat a new passion, and thoroughly enjoy working with children, especially helping them to love learning and to reach their full potential. I am fairly laid back, enjoy a bit of wine or whiskey every now and then, and love exploring new places.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I am wanting to start travelling more, and meeting people along the way. I am hoping to be able to open up a space soon in my home in Prince George, BC, for guests as well.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music- too much to list all, but some favorites include Lumineers, Garth Brooks, Tragically Hip, Muse, Metallica, Florence and the Machine, Blue Rodeo. I love fiction books based on historical events, books on alternative education methods and child psychology, mindfulness, and just about anything else that peaks interest. Comedies and thrillers are my favorite genres of movies, but I also enjoy true stories.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I travelled in an RV across the U.S. with my children for 6 months in 2011/2012. We saw so many awesome sites and learned a lot about the RV life (on a tight budget).
