ABOUT ME

I'm currently about to embark on a years Erasmus exchange in Nijmegen.

for all my creative and interesting exploits, my english sensitivities make writing this sort of profile remarkably difficult!

In academic terms, I'm a town planner, hoping in time to specialise in sustainable regeneration, particularly in urban deprivation areas.... beyond that, i spend a lot of time employed as a baker in the summer, touring round various little festivals, and would like to think i have very good taste in music- although others may beg to differ!

i've always been involved in various art and community projects, invest a lot of myself into my friends and family..... um..... goodness, this is hard. i may stop before i get self deprecating or egocentric!

im new to this, having been prompted to look for a cheaper option than hotels after it became clear my new room in Nijmegen isn't ready for another few weeks!

well, i've slept on a lot of them! and had a lot of people sleep on mine!

oh my!
well, my book collection has always given me a great deal of satisfaction, as does cooking- the busier my life becomes, and the less time i have to sit still, the more creative satisfaction i gain from making a good meal for my family and friends. i am actively involved in community projects in bristol, maintain an active social life, and am never happier than when sitting round a fire in the summer with friends....
