One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hello everyone!
Welcome to my page.
I am Maya from the beautiful city of Almaty, Kazakhstan.
I have always been a patriot of my country and remain so. I have never liked to travel.
But during Covid, I changed my mind, as the borders opened, I actively began to travel.
I realized that our life is short and we do not live in the present, always putting everything off until later.
And one day you may not be here.
My journey began in 2022. My first long trip abroad was Iceland. I saw the northern lights. Which I am very proud of.
I am a very budget traveler.
I do not have a million dollars in my bank account although I think because I travel so much means I am rich😂
Traveling the world is not expensive when there are good people who are willing to receive you for a few days. and it’s really so cool!

And you know I get a lot of good from strangers when I travel around the world, and I always thank God for all these opportunities.

Now I am actively studying English. You know, with age it is more and more difficult to learn languages, especially to remember and increase vocabulary. 😅.
But I do not give up despite the fact that I do not have an environment for practice.
My country is not English-speaking, but we speak two languages: Kazakh and Russian.

I have worked as a purchaser specialist in the IT department for a long time.
Recently decided to be a freelancer in the future and live in different countries for six months or a year, for experience.
And I decided to change my job as a Software or Application Tester for the start. This is a completely new field for me. Currently worked as a manual tester for 7 months and I was transferred to projects, now I am as a business analyst and project manager.

think it’s a good start to change the field after 40 years🤭😃
