About Me

Hi there! I’m Mayanne — a curious soul from the Northeast of Brazil, passionate about people, nature, and the beauty of the unknown.

After more than a year and a half backpacking with my (now ex-) partner, I'm continuing the journey solo — with an open heart, a not so light backpack, and a heavy thirst for meaningful connections.

I’m a doctor by training, but I like to think of myself as a lifelong learner. I’m deeply spiritual (not religious), I love astrology, crystals, herbal medicine, and all things that connect us to something greater — to nature, to others, to ourselves. I believe that real wisdom comes from lived experiences, open conversations, and the courage to change.

Traveling is my way of expanding from the inside out. What fills me most is not just seeing new places, but carrying with me deep, abstract, soulful conversations and the unique energy of every person I meet.

I’m also someone who loves trying new things, discovering new hobbies (which helps me challenge my inner perfectionist), and letting life surprise me.

Being close to animals and nature brings me back to the present moment and reminds me of who I truly am.

If you’re into deep talks, good laughs, spontaneous adventures, or just a cozy chat over tea or coffee — I’d love to meet you. 🌍✨

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because this is the kind of travel that feels real to me.
Couchsurfing opens the door to people, stories, cultures, and unexpected moments that no guidebook can offer. I love the exchange — not just of space, but of energy, ideas, and worldviews.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Started a backpacking trip around the world.
And took part in beautiful humanitarian missions in Brazil and Africa that shaped the way I see life.
I learnt to dive and discovered a new world.
I did the Annapurna circuit, in Nepal, by myself, which boosted my self-confidence.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my knowledge on health, holistic practices (like Reiki and herbal care), Brazilian culture, and Portuguese language. I’m always happy to talk about astrology, energy, self-knowledge, and life experiences — and I love learning new things in return.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Warm company, deep and joyful conversations, homemade meals, curiosity, respect, and presence.
I’m a good listener, always up for meaningful exchanges, and happy to help however I can.
