ABOUT ME

School was a long journey and after finishing it I just needed time for myself to figure out what to do next. So I went traveling with my friend through Australia. We discovered the most breathtaking places, met the kindest people and most of all we learned everything about ourselves and each other. After the amazing experience in Oz, I decided to study abroad. Holland became my second home for almost 4 years, first living in Leeuwarden but quickly realising that the small town live was just not for me. So I decided to move to Amsterdam. I lived my student life in Amsterdam to the fullest, enjoying the freedom, people and music scene. During the summer breaks I went on longer trips to get headspace and peace of mind from all the craziness in Amsterdam. For the last semester of my studies, I went to Valencia to do an internship and writing my bachelor thesis. I am currently finishing up my degree and hopefully graduate soon. I'll be coming to Canada in September to experience yet again another great culture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I just did couchsurfing twice during my travels through amazing Australia. It was in the end of my journey when I was nearly broke. So I considered contacting some hosts of the couchsurfing website and i got responses very quickly. My first couchsurfing experience was at an Irish guy's place who already had about 10 french couchsurfers. We cooked together and had long night conversations. The second time we did a road trip with a host and stayed in his place for a couple of days. So I had very nice experiences with couchsurfing hosts. :)

Since I had such nice experiences in Oz, I decided to offer a bed at my home in Leeuwarden, Holland. My flatmate and I hosted one girl for a few days and helped her to find a more permanent accommodation.

Interests

I love travelling, the feeling of exploring new places and meeting all these different kinds of people but all share the same passion. I love the random conversations with strangers. Strangers that become friends and so close to your heart even though you just met. The shared moment on foreign soil is sometimes worth more than years of the same thing..
