Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

CS helped me meet a decent handful of locals during my months in Thailand in Laos. Now, I'm about to uproot again and if I land on stable ground, I hope to be a host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've spent my fair share of nights on couches and floors.
I spent a summer WWOOFING on an organic farm in Maui, which completely changed my life.
I believe in their unity of mankind. It's a closed system, this planet. The true adventure is between people.

Interests

living things, breathing things, chaotic things, silent things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I volunteered on a wild wolf reserve called Mission:Wolf in the wilderness of Southern Colorado. In order to be on the huge preserve and work with the wolves, I had to be accepted by them. I went into the wolves territory and sat down on the ground. Two "ambassador" wolves, named Raven and Maggie, that were less afraid of humans ran up to me and the other workers. We had to bear our teeth so that the two completely wild wolves could lick them. If our teeth were licked, we were trusted and allowed in. Then, the two ambassadors howled to the rest of the pack. That night, sitting by our campfire I howled to the wolves and all 45 of them answered back. It was absolutely incredible and beautiful.

Countries I’ve Visited

Laos, Mexico, New Zealand, Thailand, Vanuatu, Virgin Islands, U.S.
