About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Stumbling through travel plans step by step. Traveling to places place by place.

ABOUT ME

I am a people person and, therefore, am happiest when I have interesting people to talk to and hang out with. My introverted side likes comfy chairs, and good books. I'm generally level-headed and easy-going.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is to be happy. I don't have to be the richest or the smartest person, I just have to like who I am and what I'm doing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can't host people right now, but I would love to show people around Granada, Spain. It's such a lovely city and I've been here long enough to know a couple of cool spots. :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed with Semir and Kasia in Krakow, Poland. It was definitely one of the best experiences I have had traveling. We talked for hours about our respective countries, and our travel experiences. We talked about our families. I am definitely looking forward to couchsurfing again soon!

Interests

Reading, cooking and baking, writing (although I'm a lazy writer right now), and art. And of course, traveling!

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite author is probably Tamora Pierce. She's a fantasy author for teens and I started reading her books when I was in high school.

I also like Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card.

I like to read all kinds of genres. My newest genre is non-fiction, although I haven't delved too deeply thus far.

Favorite movies are probably Gladiator, Pan's Labyrinth, maybe Moulin Rouge.

I prefer rock stuff. :) Por ejemplo, Coldplay, Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, some Deftones, War Stories.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saw the East Side Gallery in Berlin! It's the section of the wall with all the graffiti artists and it's amazing. Art, politics, quotes. Real world change. What could be better?

In Costa Rica I zip-lined through the rain-forest. One the longest lines zipped over a valley. The whole valley was a green carpet of trees, and a farm, a bit hazy through the mist. I cut through the mist and palpably felt myself leave a little space behind me as I made a little space in front of me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can make a mean chocolate chip cookie. The same recipe also makes really good sugar cookies. I am also a good proof-reader and idea sharpener.

I like learning in general. I always like those random cool facts that people remember. I especially like learning about different cultures.

Countries I’ve Visited
