Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm now starting a journey to realize my dream of knowing others cultures, understand the human better, improve myself to self-knowledge and to learn more about ecovillages and sustainable communities.

I have a farm here, in Brazil, and I have a biggest dream to build up a sustainable and self-sufficient community in there. A place to human improvement and to experience a better way to live in community, with companionship, love and harmony between people and nature.

So, I'm on Couchsurfing to realize those dreams, to meet new people and make connections. I belive that by sharing we can improve ourselves to be better and improve a network of companionship and love around the world.

Interests

I love learning new things and teach! Meeting new people and new cultures fascinates me. I also love to know the history of places. =)

I am a gastronomy fan! I love to cook, try new flavors and creative mixes and try to create new recipes. I also love to challenge myself to make meatless recipes that traditionally contain meat (mushrooms are wonderful!).

I love nature and programs such as camping, hiking and climbing (which for now I'm just learning). I always travel with friends to beaches and waterfalls.

For the night I like fun programs with friends. Could be stay in home for dinner and play board games or go out to a bar, ballad, to dance (electronic or forró) or sing karaoke.

To rest nothing better than a good movie, series, anime or reading.
I also love to play RPG, Live Actions and LARPs, mainly.

Music, Movies, and Books

Peaceful Warrior is the best film ever! I recommend to everybody who wants to awakening.
Also are my favorite: Who Cares (a brazilian documentary about social entrepreneurs), Eu Maior (a brazilian documentary about happiness) and Human (a documentary about all complexity of humans).

I also love fantasy, fiction and super heros movies and series! Also Disney and animations.

To read I do like fantasy and fiction too and books about spirituality and self-improvement. My favorit book is The Celestine Profecy. I also love manga (japanese's comic).

To listen I like rock (many kind), folk, surf music, celtic music, soundtracks, intrumental (mostly violin), classic music, mantras, and others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The two most amazing experiences that I lived were my biggest turning points in my life: the Warriors Without Weapons program (GSA) and the School Service in Piracanga. =)
They were intense experiences of self, love, life lessons and community. I won families from heart and I am sure that a better world is possible because of people like them that are out there, making transformation =)

I can cook and I have some delicious recipes to share!
I can teach Portuguese and Brazilian culture. I also teach dance forró =)

I am now learning how to play the ukulele!
I'm also learning about permaculture and bio-construction. =)
