Présentation
À propos de moi
Hey! 😊 I go by Maz, and I'm a twenty year old who has recently started studying neuroscience in Manchester, UK.
Being a decent person and learning as much as I can are probably by biggest interests in life at present. The inner struggle of a degree I want to do being in a city lacking in nature has left me with a mighty sense of wanderlust 🌈
This has led me to trying to find alternate reliefs to student life, so I'm using this time to take responsibility and develop my other interests (see tags for things I want to experience more of and learn more about): try out things I believed to be 'so not me' and learn how to be the person I want to be!
As an INFP, I hold a strong sense of desire to do my part for the world and humanity but am still trying to find and commit to what I think I'd be best at doing...
Still got a while to go until I'm the person I'd like to be!
If you're wanting to stay with me, I'd appreciate if you could send me your myers briggs personality type?
[see home section if you're wanting advice on Manchester or requesting to stay, please!]
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
Though I'd happily wander alone, travelling seems to me to be most wonderful when based around interaction - with new people, new places and new ideas. For me, having a little structure and a deeper connection allows for aimless wander to turn into an even more inspirational journey...And couchsurfing seems a perfect tool for that, allowing for wonderful connections and interactions. Though I'm a major introvert...
I want to be an explorer and learner not simply a traveller or tourist.
I'm very open minded about experiences that I wouldn't plan for, and how could I conjure those up and surprise myself?
I really do believe that so many fabulous people have more to share than they know, and I'd love to know of those things...
Centres d'intérêt
Some less specific things I'm yet to get around to trying out: immerse myself in Buddhism, learn to dance in Spain (this may take some doing 😂💃), tandem paraglide, join a flashbmob, learn to pole dance...
What I'd be doing solo travelling: Though I'm drawn to hustle and bustle and meticulously over-planning to find obscure events and places; I find my inner peace in genuinely making new friends, exploring national parks, beautiful walks and cycles as well as adding to my reading lists.
I really flit around with my interests and like dabbling in a variety of things - I mean, there is a whole world of opportunity out there!

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
I don't tend to have favourites: some things I appreciate more than others, however I'm careful to avoid missing out on finding new things I love.
Pretty open with music, personal preferences are usually indie rock/pop punk...gotten into psytrance, post rock and classical music more, recently. Exploring new background music such as space rock, gypsy jazz, chillstep, MPB and some nordic folk. Personal favourites at the moment are hang massive and city of the sun.
Don't read much but wish I did and have a looonggg reading list. Mostly read non-fiction.
It's mildly embarrassingly how few popular/classic films I've seen but transmissions I've stumbled upon and vibed with include: The Matrix, Grey's Anatomy, The Good Place, Black Mirror, The Discovery, Interstellar, Altered Carbon, Bojack Horseman, Dark, Lucy, Touch, Twelve Monkeys, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Good Will Hunting.
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
I guess your interest in my response to this would really depend on who you are, and it seems to make more sense to share stories once you know a person and the common interests you hold!
Enseignez, apprenez, partagez
I really love hearing about people's lives and adventures!
