About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Figure out exactly who I am, and what I should be doing with my life

ABOUT ME

I'm usually kind of shy when I first meet people but I'm trying to change that. I've never lived outside of NY for more than a year and that was when I was away at school in PA. I'm pretty spontaneous and am usually up for any interesting adventure. If there's anything at all you'd like to know about me don't hesitate to ask, I'm very forthcoming.

PHILOSOPHY

Ive always gone with the flow and was usually the wise man amongst my friends, trying to be the voice of reason and offer advice where I could, as well as try to be the one that said when something was a bad idea and probably shouldn't be done, not that I haven't taken part in some shenanigans (I don't have a criminal record and the worst thing I've done has been getting caught speeding when I first got my license). I try to see the good in everyone and I've always lived my life to help others to whatever extent I know how to.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I plan on giving up my couch once I get a place of my own making it accessible to who ever is in need of it

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've never truly couch surfed before, I've stayed with friends and relatives but never someone I hadn't met before

Interests

Reading (but I'm ADD so I'll start a book, put it down and then return to it months later) TV and Movies, any sort of physical activity (I've been indoor rock climbing a few times, hiking, fishing, sports of just about any kind). Working with my hands, building just about anything. Working with children- I worked in an elementary school for 2 years and I babysat growing up, I've flirted with the idea of becoming a teacher and am still considering it.

Music, Movies, and Books

Anything with Chris Farley. I'm kind of a nerd/geek so I love comics and the movies that go along with them (not anime though...never got into that). Music I'm a big fan of house music and hip hop/rap but punk rock, some country and folk music too, Arlo Guthrie is one of my favorite musicians. I'll listen to just about anything within reason. As far as books go I love anything that's historical in nature, I've been reading Teddy Roosevelts books lately. I'm part way through A Brief History of Time, and a slew of other books but haven't returned to them as of yet. Old Yeller is my all time favorite book, I read it atleast 50 times when I was younger and it still is one of my favorites.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to Montreal when I was 15 or so and while I was there I bumped into one of my good friends from home completely randomly, neither of us knowing the other was going to be there as we hadn't seen each other in a couple of years. It's always been that story that keeps reminding me that regardless of what course in life you take the people who you are meant to meet and be friends with present themselves sometimes out of the blue
