Ciao Tutti! My name is Chiara, I am Italian but I have been living in Paris since 2011.
Even if I loved Italy, the wanderlust brought me to live in Ireland first, then in Australia, and finally I landed here in Paris, by chance. I fell in love with this city, and I decided to make it mine. I am taking a gap year from November 2015, to explore 6 countries and their inhabitants. I don't want to be just a tourist, I want to melt with the people, living like them, talk to them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe that exploring a country means above all knowing their people and their habits. Because they make the country. I thought that staying in a hotel wouldn't permit me to know locals. "All inclusive" and a trip already tailored form top to bottom by an agency is not really my cup of tea. I have an overall idea of the things I would like to see and do during my long trip, but I have the time to go with the flow and to share my time with the locals.
