I’m an energetic person with an adventurous spirit and inquisitive nature. I’m outgoing and enjoy getting to know new people. I love dancing, hiking, live music, reading, conversation, and exploring new places! I was a middle & high school English teacher for a number of years until this past summer. I’m still passionate about education. Going forward, my long term goal is to build a new campground west of Austin that has fun educational programs for children and young adults, and also features sustainability education. I’m new to couch surfing and am excited about meeting people in the community!

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I’m in a career transition and am taking some time off to travel and expand my social network. I’ll be visiting DFW and other parts of the country for a few months. I used to be a high school English teacher, and that profession doesn’t exactly pay the big bucks that give people lots of extra cushion, so the other reason I’m couch surfing is because I’m trying to save money to support myself during a 12 month unpaid internship in sustainable horticulture that I want to do in Spain next year.
