CURRENT MISSION

After looking at the weather it has changed from 'see the world' to 'work the world'

ABOUT ME

I have just finished a degree at University doing Tourism and Events Management. As such I wanted to get out and see some of the world for myself. I am currently travelling Dubai-Oman-India-China-Hong Kong-Vietnam-Cambodia-Thailand-Malyasia-Singapore-Ausutralia-New Zealand-Canada-USA-Ireland.

I am travelling for 11 months in total and would like to use couch surfing to meet local people as I have thought that it is not only the location in which you are travelling but also the people you meet who make the experience.

I am a very outgoing person and would like to meet similar people, especially who like the outdoors, I havev written more about my interests below!

PHILOSOPHY

Not much of a philosophy, but to try and make the most of any situation you are given, make sure that you always have fun and be honest with people. I am generally a very positive person.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the minute it would be solely surfing due to the fact that I am not at home to host; however upon return I would love to host people and return then experience which others have given me. I think that this is a great median to meet new people and make friends.

In am a very social personn so I enjoy meeting new people and learning about their life experiences, that is the best education you will ever get.

I love the outdoors- my favorite activities include mountain biking, hiking, rock climbing and sailing. However I am always interested to trying new things especially other sports or cultural experiences!

Books- I like travel books of other peoples experiences, these include books like My Mercedes is not for sale, the Tuk Tuk girls, pedalling to Hawaii, round Ireland with a fridge, A walk in the woods etc, you get the idea

Movies- I like all types of movies, serious ones include The Shawshank redemption, Road to Predition, Gladiator, Shutter island etc. But sometimes it is good to watch something easy going like Then Rock, The Departed, The Hangover, Walk Hard etc, but am generally happy with whatever gets put on.

I have lived in America for a year which was one of then best years of my life and afterwards traveled up then West Coast from San Diego to Seattle which was great.

I have finished a degree which was pretty boring but I am glad I have done it, traveled round Ireland for 2 weeks was one of the best holidays I have ever had and India for 6 weeks, breath taking if not eye opening but not long enough!

I have done a bit or traveling, I have lived in Ireland for most of my life but also England for 3 years and America for 1 year, all of which I am happy to share information on.

Also given the fact that I have mountain biked for years and come from a family of sailors I am happy to try and share any information that I can on the subject.

I hope to learn more information about where people live, what they enjoy and anything they would like to take the time to teach me or would help me in the future. You can never learn too much information.
