Hello, my name is Michael!!

I currently live in beautiful Santa Cruz, California. I am a student of Environmental Studies and Ecology with a focus on natural history and conservation science at the University of California, Santa Cruz.

I'm a fun loving individual with a passion for the outdoors. I try to spend as much of my free time as possible outside surfing, hiking, rock climbing, or studying the native flora of California.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I feel that one of the most valuable aspects of traveling is the opportunity for cultural exchange by enagaging with and learning about the local culture. I think that one of the best ways to take advantage of this opportunity is to live through the eyes of a local by staying with one!

Interests

I am a very outdoorsy person, and I feel most at peace when immersed in Nature. I love surfing, hiking, reading, and just about anything else you can do outdoors!
