About Me

Hi guys,
I'm a freelance Community Manager, living in Liège (Belgium). I live here with my girlfriend in a duplex near the city centre. We like to travel whenever we can afford to, even though we're right now in a 'transition' phase (because of our jobs). That means we have some spare time to host couchsurfers! Also, being freelance gives me a rather flexible schedule. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Even though I'm a member since 2012, I still haven't got any CS expercience. But I love the concept, because money shouldn't be an obstacle to travelling. And most of the time, hotels are what costs the most...
Also, the best way to discover the 'real' places of the city and the culture of a country is through the locals!

Interests

Well, my girlfriend of course(who's looking over my shoulder right now).
I like spending time discovering/experiencing new stuff, and enjoy it even more when I do it with friends/friends to become. It includes travels, of course :)
On a regular basis, I'm fond of NFL (let's go niners!), and can't count the hours I've spent in front of video games.
I may repeat myself, but I love partying with friends (and have some tasty beers).

Music, Movies, and Books

- All the movie from David Lynch, Tarantino or Nolan, but also others like Old Boy, Donnie Darko, Fullmetal Jacket, Into the Wild, ...
- The Kills, The White Buffalo, QOTSA, The Hives, Nervous Cabaret, and rock music in general.
- Chuck Palahniuk, Jack Kerouak, TLOTR, Science fiction, ...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

From winter 2012 to 2014, I lived in Québec with my girlfriend thanks to a Work & Holiday Visa. We've met a lot of exceptionnal people there, and travelled as much as we could. We also went for a 4-months roadtrip across Canada and USA , during which we exclusively slept in a 'modified' van. It is by far the best travel memories I've had.

Professionally, I survived, in October 2012, my first elections coverage as a journalist. And this is no joke... ;)

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd like to meet people from around the world who can help me discover and understand better the place they live in. People I could easily talk to, share ideas with, and maybe compare our different points of view. The best way to vibe of a town is through the locals, not the guides.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love my city, and I'd be thrilled to show it to visitors. The best parts are often the hidden ones –as it is often the case in every city– so if you want I can show you around.

If you choose to stay at my place, know that I will only accept you if I have time to share with you: sleep-and-leave is not really the Couchsurfing spirit –there's another website for that. So don't be offended if I refuse, I just want to offer you the best stay possible! :)
