I'm an enthusiastic, gregarious, smartmouth, setting off on a new adventure, moving to Vermont! I started taking travel contracts as an RN, and its all coming together. I've dreamed of traveling this way my whole life, its HAPPENING. I have the blessing of working in the area of my passion every day. Maternal health has been the work of my life, so when I take time off, I like to get out of my own head and find awesome co-adventurers!
My schedule as an RN is 6 twelve-hour night shifts in a row. I exist on coffee and yoga. My dog tolerates it.

Because a new place is more than just a couch- its the people and the spirit. I don't want to just crash, I want to live as a temporary local and revel in a different life than my own.

The community on this site is unique. Tapping in to that is a way to find like-minded souls all over the world; who wouldn't??

兴趣

You can catch me knitting along to a great show, with my dog and a cup of tea. Or I'll be running to an outdoor yoga session before my night shift. Most likely planning my next big backpacking trip. Will drop anything to meet friends over a microbrew.

I listen to anything, but especially music I can sing along with, and most especially that has a deep story.
Movies... Auntie Mame is a perennial favorite, Bollywood flicks will always be my go to for a night in, and I DO NOT watch horror movies.
I love to read, so its hard to pick a favorite. High fantasy to women's lit, historical fiction.

-I delivered babies in rural Haiti after the earthquake. Ask me about the twins.
-Every year I carry an 80lb canoe into the backcountry on my shoulder and walk out unscathed. Ask me about Jim. Poor Jim.
-Ran a marathon. Just kidding! I take naps.

I love to swap stories. Small talk is fine, but really getting know where a person has been is so much more satisfying. If I'm staying with you, I'd love to make dinner for your friends, check our your favorite brewery or dinner spot, and swap the craziest and most heart-felt stories.
