About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Hanging out the car window letting the wind blow bubbles for you, feeling alive every damn day, giggling always, learning new ways of doing and being, finding places you want to return to as soon as you leave.
ABOUT ME
Things about me... My husband is South African and we live in Mississippi. Mostly we foster animals for our humane society, take our dogs on walks, and study all the time (me law, him nutrition and dietetics). I love riding horses, dancing when nobody's watching, meeting new people, being a kid, finding lost stuff, shiny things, hope, being active. If I had a life plan, it would involve traveling. I love to learn new things, hear about new ways of being (that's the anthropology degree talking), and swapping stories.
PHILOSOPHY
"We do not stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I mooch? One day I'll live in a place where I can host!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm a newbie to couchsurfing, after all these years.
Interests
Horseback riding, traveling, reading, learning about almost anything, talking with friends, playing sax in a wind ensemble (but not alone), blowing bubbles, eating chocolate, taking walks outside. Engaging conversations are the bomb.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of my favorite experiences in life involved sitting on a lava tube in the Galapagos Islands with great friends. To make it even better, we saw 3 sting rays, 2 small sharks and a sea turtle all swim into the same shoal for about 3 seconds then disperse. It was the best moment.
I walked into the British Museum years ago and thought "overwhelmed doesn't even begin to cover it." So much history at your fingertips! I saw the Rosetta Stone and cuneiform writing, and geeked out hardcore.
I got to visit people I met on my gap year in 2009, and it is amazing that you can pick up after 3 years like nothing has changed, even if you only met at a hostel and knew each other for 3 days to begin with.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have lots of "trivia" stored in my head but it's random things that are never actually asked at trivia nights... I also have lots of stories from the places I've traveled. I could teach someone how to knit but it would be the left handed/heretic way.
