Well so hi, my name is McKenzie and full disclosure I'm not exactly "fluent" in German. I took four years of it and can understand it better than I can speak it. I like doing outside activities such as hiking, fishing and camping. I have great taste in music and shitty taste in beer but I'm good company I promise. I'm a very casual person and easy to talk to, but almost OCD on the cleanliness scale. I think it goes without saying that I love to meet new people, hence joining Couchsurfing.

Things that keep me alive are patio bars, summer and fall, mountains, oceans, forests, breweries, books, family and any good company.

I am just beginning my adventures of traveling and wanted to see what this couch surfing deal is all about. It would be a pleasure to hear other people's stories and share fun times with people all walks of life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined Couchsurfing because a good friend of mine who travels avidly introduced me to the site and it made a lot of sense to me. I'm not the type of gal who likes to stay in "all-inclusive" resorts and stick to the path. I like to talk to the people who reside in the places I go, and get the scoop from the locals and this makes that a fun and safe way to do it!

Music is super important to me and some of my favorites are Van Morrison, The Lumineers, Alt-J, Bon Iver, ODESZA, The Temptations, Bob Marley, Jon Pardi, Russ, etc.

Bookwise I love The Alchemist and also The Yamas & Niyamas, which is a book I basically live by. There's many more, but those are important to me.

Movies basically anything. Man on Fire, Pulp Fiction, Burnt, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hungout with the flamingos on the famous Flamingo Beach in Aruba, and went off-roading right next to the ocean there.
