About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Don't Panic.
ABOUT ME
Hey! My friends would say that I am a confident, reserved, and funny individual. I prefer a night spent enjoying personal conversations with drinks and board games instead of loud bars and expensive events. I'm a passionate Brewers, Badgers, and Packers fan.
I love to backpack, draw, thrift, and ride my bike. In travel, I aim to avoid tourist locations and discover the best a place has to offer in food, nature, events, and people.
PHILOSOPHY
Humans are inherently social and inquisitive beings, and the act of learning new things, ideas, and people is gratifying and sustaining way in which we enrich and find true meaning to our lives. I live my life in a way that allows me to encounter these opportunities and grow as an individual.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I crashed on a few couches while on vacation in the Pacific Northwest and Europe hope to continue surfing while on breaks from work.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I heard about CouchSurfing from a stranger I struck up conversation with who sat next to me on a train from Glacier National Park to Milwaukee. I'm excited to connect, surf, and accept surfers! I've hosted several surfers and have stayed connected with them as well.
Interests
In my free time I like drawing, following Wisconsin sports, playing board games, and working out. I'm a data analyst; check out my website: www.middlee.com

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've gone backpacking through Grand Teton National Park and Glacier National Park. The valley of flowers I walked through within the mountain range at Teton was brilliant, and the views in Glacier were spectacular. I walked through snow the first week in August!
Every time I walk into Lambeau Field I am awestruck. Without fail, I get chills walking out of concourse into the seating bowl witnessing the players on the field. Similar reactions have happened at Wrigley Field and the Rose Bowl.
Teach, Learn, Share
This might sound really nerdy. In social psychology class at UW we learned about self-fulfilling prophecy and it's effect in education. A researcher selected several students to be bloomers within the class, and though done randomly, the teacher's expectations caused a significant difference in their academic success when compared to a control. I heard this, my jaw dropped, and two years later I was a special education teacher in Milwaukee Public Schools to assist students who receive these low expectations from teachers.
