ABOUT ME

I am a 21 year old college student at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. In 2008 and 2009, I attended the University of Tennessee and played college football for the Volunteers. I am an islander, from the BIG island of Kodiak (southcentral Alaska) and love the outdoors. I enjoy sports, any recreational activities, and meeting awesome people!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My parents are Couch Surfing members in Kodiak, Alaska. They traveled the world back in the 70s and 80s and know all too well how much the hospitality of people across the globe is for people traveling.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Some Israelis and Australians stayed at my parent's house on Kodiak Island, good experience!

Interests

The outdoors, sports, virtually anything that doesn't involve swimming! (I sink.) Books, history, whatever is going on in the world... I am a journalism major here at UAF so I like to keep up to date on the news in the USA and around the world as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love J.R.R. Tolkien, Harry Potter, and Philip Pulman books. I am a history minor, so I enjoy historical novels as well as those dull history books. Give me any book except Twilight and I will dive in headfirst!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was a member of the University of Tennessee football team for 2 years. I was blessed with the opportunity to play a sport in front of 100,000 fans for 12 Saturdays a year in the fall. Something I will never forget.
