Hello :)
My name is Meagan Kelly and I am an avid French Canadian traveller. I left home on July 2017 where I was working as an A&E/Emergency room nurse in order to follow my lifelong dream: travel without bounds. I have been backpacking through Asia with my best friend Joey for 8 months now.
After those 8 months of rethinking everything we'd want from life and discovering so much about ourselves, we are heading to Ireland with a working holiday visa in our pockets. Since we will be living here for an extended period of time, we would love to meet new people and create friendships in this new country!
I love to make connections across the globe and to learn more about different cultures and ways of living. Teach me your way of life and I'll tell you all about what it's like to be a whitewalker, maple syrup eating and polite French Canadian :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It seems like a great way to travel and meet amazing people and locals! I'd much rather sleep on a couch or cushions on the floor than a soft bed without any life and great people to share the space with :)

WHY I DON'T HAVE A VERIFIED ACCOUNT? Since I know how to be a responsible adult, I left home those 8 months ago after selling most of what I own, dropping my apartment and quitting my job so I don't have an address, a phone number and my government ID is about to change to an Irish one.

Music, Movies, and Books

Pretty anything to be fair. Music wise I can listen anything from Rap, Rock, EDM, Frank Sinatra to acoustic music. For books I'm mostly a Fantasy reader, but I used to work in a bookstore and I'm passionate about both reading books and recommending someone a novel they'd love! LET'S TALK ABOUT BOOKS...Okay I'll calm down!
Movies, again, I watch pretty much anything except for deep romance movies or horror films. Unless you either want me to fall asleep or cry out of terror, let's avoid those :p

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've travelled quite a lot so I have quite a list of amazing experiences, which I'd love to share with willing ears, but an amazing experience I've lived was cosplay related. If you do not know what cosplay is, it is the art of creating/wearing a costume and acting that character as well. I personally make all my costumes and love every step of it! You might know cosplay through the names comic con, which is like a big halloween party filled with smiling faces and happy people. I am a huge geek and participating in my first convention opened my world to one of the most loving community I've met :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Anything from life stories to moments of laughter! I sound very cheesy but there's nothing better than to laugh all evening and share anecdotes with new friends!
