ABOUT ME

Hey, I'm a 26 year old student-teacher born and raised in Melbourne, Australia.
I like to quote people and dress thematically, but I'm rather subtle about it.
I like to try new things and turning it into a competition, but I won't tell you I was trying unless I was winning.
I grew up with 3 siblings, so I'm good at appreciating silence...and sleeping through noise.
I like to drink (occasionally my sorrows) but I'm inherently an optimist.
I like to balance out good conversations with just having some fun! Yay!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Heya, so at-the-momento I am traveling around South America and then I'll be visiting Californina...so unfortunately I can't offer a couch for the time being. When I get back to Australia and get a couch though, you're welcome to it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfed for a couple of nights in Gothenburg, Sweden. Had a great host who showed us around town. He had a very nice place and he took us to the local carny.

Couchsurfed at a friend's house in Berlin with her two housemates. We had such a great time, especially sharing New Years eve together going to the local hill to light off some fireworks! Almost blew a head off there.

Couchsurfed in Montmarte, Paris. Included attempting to ride hire bikes in the snow (let's just say it hurt) and staying in a 17th century building on the 10th floor (you know, the kind of building that has no elevators and a small windy staircase?)..but had heaps of fun.

Couchsurfed at a few places in London. One with an Italian guy who worked at Google. He was a hoot. And another time in Zone a million at a Pastors house. He owned the cemetery next door too.

Couchsurfed in Brussels. Best Host Ever! Took us to a cheese party at the house of a guy who worked on the TinTin film. Yes.

Interessen

I love traveling, the smell of secondhand books, pretending I'm in musicals, collecting historical things, being at University (yep...one of those people) and living on the Australian coast.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Film. Film is good. I can pretty much watch anything besides Horror...I can never understand their plot lines (when they rarely have them).
If I were to have a favourite film...(and by favourite, if you were stuck on an island and only had one DVD and a magical never-dying DVD player) it would be Gladiator. Haha, but seriously- the drama never gets old. Rags to riches gets me every time.
Oh, and I can pretty much watch any musical. Let's face it, even the bad ones have their moments.
And if I happen to be on location you may find me reenacting a scene.

Music. Good also. Again, can pretty much listen to anything. Besides Death Metal...can't really hear anything in that (no offence...open to an education)

I like to read. Reading is good.
Forester, Salinger, Fitzgerald, Wilde, Hemingway etc. etc.
Guilty Pleasure: As a history student I actually do enjoy historical narratives. Oh, and I may occasionally still dabble in teenage fiction--come on, the humour is hilarious. Do me a favour and read the Percy Jackson series.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I can help out with English language if you're having trouble. I can also probably work your coffee machine if you have one (I have experience as a barista). If you want to play a sport or go for a jog, I'm happy to have a go. I also can play basic saxophone. Very very basic saxophone.
