About Me

CURRENT MISSION

People are people, trying to build bridges worldwide.

ABOUT ME

I am a NEW Mexican / American-Belarussian Jew hybrid (it can only happen in California)... American Indian and Mexicana crossed by the border, so now we are part of the USA. I'm the descendent of a nomadic people - and I've naturally decided to move around my whole life. I currently live in the Middle East. I am trying to soak in as much of the world as possible. I'm just your atypical wanderer - a little brown girl travelling with a Hello Kitty watch, a fedora, and Chanel nailpolish.

Interests

Above all I love to learn... it makes me a bit of a nerd, but I love reading and good movies and talking about history and politics and literature and society and all of its ills. I love to get lost and explore and to talk to people and try to understand them.

I also like cooking and food, and being outside in general.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a Game of Thrones geek. I like Bob Dylan, Latin pop from the 90s, Selena, Beyonce, and indie music that played on Gossip Girl. I'm not ashamed. I watch tons of movies.. lots of non-American films but I try to keep up with the discourse as well as the interwebz allows.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Burma... All of it... The country is so complex, the people are fascinating and resilient, the culture rich and old... So many adventures and memories there that it's impossible to come up with just one moment that left me particularly awestruck amongst the hundreds.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belize, Cambodia, Egypt, Greece, Indonesia, Israel, Jordan, Laos, Mexico, Myanmar, Palestine, Puerto Rico, Spain, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In
