Hey everyone!
I am Medea (29) and currently on a mission to try as many different cuisines as I can find.
Since I just have finished my education (I just become a teacher (Music, Philosophy/Ethics and Math) I decided that now would be the best time to go on that mission and hopefully learn more about different cultures, traditions and simply ways of living on my way.

Besides eating I really like to dance (currently mostly Salsa, Bachata and Lindy Hop but I plan to learn Tango soon) and play music (since I had to leave my piano and guitar in Germany I'm bringing an ukulele. Though I'm not ready for the big stage yet it is sufficient for bonfires).

I'm looking forward to try new things, learn new skills, visit new places and meet new people. Because life is too short to only stay in one place all the time…

Soy Medea (29) y actualmente estoy en una misión para probar tantas cocinas diferentes como pueda encontrar.
Como acabo de terminar mis estudios (soy una profesora de Música, Filosofía/Etica y Matemáticas) decidí que ahora sería el mejor momento para emprender esa misión y espero aprender más sobre diferentes culturas, tradiciones y simplemente formas de vida en mi camino.

Además de comer, me encanta bailar (salsa, bachata y lindy hop, pero pronto aprenderé tango) y tocar música (como me he dejado el piano y la guitarra en Alemania, me llevo un ukelele). Aunque todavía no estoy preparado para el gran escenario, me basta para las hogueras).

Estoy deseando probar cosas nuevas, aprender nuevas habilidades, visitar nuevos lugares y conocer gente nueva. Porque la vida es demasiado corta para quedarse en un solo sitio todo el tiempo...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I could stay in a hotel in a new country.. but do I really get to now the people? The culture? The place? I would say I can’t. I love to share experiences with different people and really get to know the place I’m in. For that couchsurfing is a great opportunity.

Podría alojarme en un hotel en un país nuevo... pero ¿llego realmente a conocer a la gente? ¿La cultura? ¿El lugar? Yo diría que no. Me encanta compartir experiencias con gente diferente y conocer de verdad el lugar en el que estoy. Para eso el couchsurfing es una gran oportunidad.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music in general! I really like playing it by myself and also listening. Totally different types like salsa, indie, classical, rock, pop…
I’m always open to new things. But I guess my favorite bands are Sons of the east & Mumford and sons.
My favorite books are Eragon and Harry Potter (books and movies). Harry Potter is classic but it’s childhood and makes me feel comfortable.

Me encanta la música en general. Me gusta mucho tocarla sola y también escucharla. Tipos totalmente diferentes como salsa, indie, clásica, rock, pop...
Siempre estoy abierto a cosas nuevas. Pero supongo que mis grupos favoritos son Sons of the east y Mumford and sons.
Mis libros favoritos son Eragon y Harry Potter (libros y películas). Harry Potter es clásico pero es infantil y me hace sentir cómodo.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

To name the one great experience is really hard to say. I would say in general, that I have the possibility to travel with all the experiences that come along.

Es difícil nombrar una gran experiencia. En general, diría que tengo la posibilidad de viajar con todas las experiencias que eso conlleva.

Teach, Learn, Share

One of my favorite things is to try new food from different cultures! And to get to know those cultures. Also I’m interested in learning new languages. At the moment I would love to improve my Spanish. I also like to share my culture, language and experience. To have some good conversation and meeting new people is always enjoyable.

Una de mis cosas favoritas es probar comida nueva de culturas diferentes. Y conocer esas culturas. También me interesa aprender nuevos idiomas. En este momento me encantaría mejorar mi español. También me gusta compartir mi cultura, idioma y experiencia. Tener una buena conversación y conocer gente nueva siempre es agradable.
