ABOUT ME

I was in sales and marketing of software for ten years in San Francisco. I resigned from my job three years ago to do some travelling, and fell in love with Colombia. I have been living in Medellin for the past two years, but I return to Los Angeles to see my friends and family regularly.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am completely new to couch surfing, but I think it is a GREAT idea and I am excited to participate.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As I said, I just created my profile, but I have done a lot of travelling. I like to travel independently, but it is always great to meet local people to get a feel for the culture, and also to get advice on interesting things to see and do that are not in the guidebooks.

Besides travel, I like reading, movies, music, cooking, exercise, and exploring new places.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like books about history, or ones that make me laugh, such as Confederacy of Dunces or anything by David Sedaris.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When travelling in a remote area of Burma a couple years ago, a local woman with a tattooed face played the flute for me with her nose. It was a traditional Burmese nose flute! Here is the picture:
