About me

I would like to consider myself a global citizen, of whatever modest travelling I have done, I was lucky to have the opportunity to meet some amazing people who just reminded me no matter how different we are in terms of ethnicity, language or lifestyle ... We all connect with people over the same simple stuff for example food , music, experiences etc. The more I travel, the more conscious and aware I become ... and I don't think I will ever trade this experience for anything.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The best part about traveling is meeting new people and hearing their stories, this kind of platform definitely gives you a chance to interact with likeminded as well as people you would normally never interact with coz they are so different from you. Personally for me, getting different perspective on different subjects is the best way of learning and also breaking stereotypes that mainstream media feeds you.

I plan to travel this year (2016) and would love to meet some people along the way.

Interests

I am interested to explore places, people, culture and volunteer for causes while I travel. I enjoy yoga, meditation, and a good conversation over a hot cup of tea.

One of the most amazing thing I have done is that I have travelled solo to some parts of India, U.K and in New York. Travelling and Interacting with people has been the most enriching experience of my life.

Watched Lion King and Mama Mia at the Broadway

Skydived in Capetown

Lived in Silence at a Buddhist Monastery in McLeod ganj for 10 days.

Travelled to Meghalaya in August and lived with a traditional Khasi family in Mawsynram (the rainiest place on the planet)

Kayaked at Sharavathi River

Visited the beautiful 15th Century temples of Hampi

Camped at Chandratal (Spiti Valley)

Just sat and did nothing at Dhankar Lake (Best feeling ever!)

Bathed an Elephant in Coorg
