CURRENT MISSION

I want to get away for a few days, relax, and read my bible as much as possible before the spring semester!

ABOUT ME

At this stage in my life, I am working hard to fulfill what I believe is my calling to enter medical school and come out serving in the US Navy. I am so pumped to begin seeing the world while in the military and afterward, using my medical knowledge to serve people in poverty-stricken countries.
I am blessed to have some amazing people in my life..a wonderful family, girlfriend, and best friend who is basically a blood brother of mine.
"When I grow up" I hope to be the best husband and father I can be, and I am always soaking up new guidance on how to that. Ultimately, I just want to be the best servant I can be: the best servant for my family, my patients, my community, and my Lord.

PHILOSOPHY

Again my main philosophy is to serve and love everyone that is put into my life. I do not wish to go to medical school for personal glory, or because "chicks dig it" but because I see it as a means to an end...a means to serve and love.

None yet, but this could be a huge vector for fulfilling my dream of visiting all 50 states and seeing the world!

Interests

I enjoy playing the guitar, football, racquetball (a relatively new and very exciting sport for me), and other goofy games with friends such as Ninja, body-body, catch-phrase, and even sword-fighting with plastic Wal-Mart swords.
I am really interested in learning. This includes more than just science (although I DIG the study of the intricacies of biology). I love to learn about economics, some day I want to have mad money invested in stocks. I love to learn about history, I am currently signed up for a European milt. history course that I'm really excited about. I LOVE to learn about other people groups such as their religions, diets, political views, consequences (+ or -) of their socioeconomic status, and where they come from. I always read the newspaper, which seems to be weird for people my age, as the news is a great vector for learning.
My main interest is humbling myself before God and others in my life, serving their best interests before my own, and always trying to learn more about the One who created me.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Saving Private Ryan, Gladiator, Maid of Honor (the only chick-flic I am a huge fan of lol), Tomorrow Never Dies, Batman, 300, Cinderella Man, to name a few.

Music: DAVE MATTHEWS!!!! Him and that band is incredible. Anberlin, Coldplay, Chevelle, Phil Wickham, Lecrae, Switchfoot, Bob Marley, classical when I'm studying, worship songs anytime, country if I'm in the mood...its growing on me lol

Books: The Bible for sure, Harry Potter, Dan Brown, Robin Cook..after I take the MCAT this summer, I am going to be reading everday and I cannot wait!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I asked my girlfriend if she could be my girlfriend, by learning how to play the guitar and putting my own words into the song "wonderwall." This was in front of at least a hundred people, I was super nervous, but I wanted her to know that I'm willing to walk through a mine-field for her. It's on my facebook if you don't believe me!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am passionate about my faith in Christ, and I would be honored to have the chance to tell people why. I am passionate about biology, the study is incredible and growing everyday. I am passionate about the underserved throughout the country and world, so many people live without healthcare and other basic needs.. And I know a good amount about staying fit through diet and exercise.
