CURRENT MISSION
To comfort the disturbed and to disturb the comfortable
ABOUT ME
I am wacky... to the core of my being. I find delight in the bizarre and unpredictable. I live for new experiences.
I am always trying to strike a balance between art and science, work and play. I work hard and play hard, and often find myself with not enough sleep, but it's absolutely worth it. Right now I work in a Semiconductor fab as a process engineer, and I love it. I do circus arts; mostly aerial arts, but also some poi and contortion.
Things I do:
Work with tech, play with movement arts of all forms, cook new and exciting food, go on adventures all around New Mexico, snuggle with dogs, try new things, get outside, snowboard, and anything else that captures my interest.
I think that greater than 50% of the universe is more awesome than average.
PHILOSOPHY
All experiences are good because they teach us new things.
Learning is living to our fullest potential.
Infinity exists.
I think that about covers it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I will go out of my way to meet for coffee or drinks, almost anytime. I may or may not be able to host you, as I often get out of town on my days off. But you are certainly welcome to ask. If I am available to host you, I am enthusiastic to do so! I love learning new skills from people, and am happy to teach anything I know. And I relish the opportunity to cook for people and to try new foods. If you want to share recipes or techniques for cooking, I'll get super-excited.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have slept on many couches, but so far none have been through CS. I love the concept of having a place to stay, no matter where you go. I want to make sure that is the case for those who visit Albuquerque. Whenever I travel, it love to run around in an unknown new place, and take even more delight in people watching.
Interests
Circus! (Mainly aerial acrobatics, poi spinning, tumbling and contortion.)
Dance (Mainly Flamenco, ballet and weird.)
Geekiness (Engineering, Chemistry, Blowing stuff up, lighting things on fire, safety, computers, numbers, etc...)
Movement that doesn't fall into Circus or Dance: Martial Arts, yoga, the foot game.
Audiophilia. I live for the TXH noise on a well-tuned system.
Most recently I started a food garden and I am super-excited!

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: "El Laberinto del Fauno," "Suicide Club," "Triplets of Belville," anything by Luc Besson, Mel Brooks, Zucker-Zucker-Abrams
Music: Runs the gamut of everything. I like anything that has lots of layers, I rarely hear words in music because I am engrossed in the tunes and rhythms. I am a sucker for choral or orchestral juxtaposed with other things.
Books: are wonderful and time consuming. I don't read nearly enough. I have been reading comic books and manufacturing theory books most recently.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I played flute with my best friend on the edge of a cliff in remote Utah. The sun was just rising, and it was the brightest, most intense pink I had ever seen.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach: Poi spinning, basic tumbling, math up through calculus, english, leave no trace camping technique, lots of cooking, flute, and probably other stuff too-just ask!
I want to learn: Any circus skills, anything sciencey, new cooking techniques and recipes and anything else you have to teach me!
I would love to share: Food! I love to cook for people. Skills, Experiences, Adventures, Dances.
