About Me

Hi everyone! I am from Kyrgyzstan and I do environmental studies at American University in Central Asia. Currently, I am doing an exchange program in Zurich. I love traveling and this year I would love to use this chance to travel around Europe. I love to study different cultures, meet different people, and especially to learn the real life, locals live. For example, in Switzerland, I lived in both student shared apartment and host family to better understand the Swiss culture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to study different cultures and meet different people. I'm a newbie at CS, but I had experience with it. In Kyrgyzstan, my family (via my sister's CS account) hosted people from different countries and it was the amazing experience. They shared the stories about their life, culture, and jobs. So I hope I can meet new people and do the cultural exchange with other people as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't have any talent for any musical instruments, but I appreciate the talents of other people. I love classical music, especially Bach's cello suites, and Shubert's "Ave Maria". As for the modern music I love all kinds of music, my favorites are Linkin Park, One Republic, The Script, Thousand Foot Krutch, Adele, David Guetta, Sia, BTS.

As for movies I have too many that I love, but the most one probably is Lord of Rings.

I like reading. My favorite author is Chingiz Aitmatov.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived one month in the mountains in the yurt (traditional central asian dwelling made of wood and wool) far away from the civilization with no modern conveniences. I lived the life, which nomadic people used to have several hundreds years ago.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share the knowledge about the life in Switzerland as well as the life in my country and Central Asia in general. I can teach Russian and Kyrgyz, and help to practice English. I also can share the experience I had in the countries I've visited so far.
