About Me

I am a 21 year old Australian who is currently taking a year off from studying to explore South America, Central America and Europe! I love exploring and am always open to trying something new whether it be a weird food or crazy activity. I am a big lover of activities so if there's a trail to hike, a bike to ride, a paddle board to get on or something to jump off then that's where you will find me. If not I am most likely in the middle of testing out every cafe, restaurant and street vendor for the best food the city has to offer! I also love a good market and can spend hours searching for a good bargain so if you host me you can almost be guaranteed I'll bring you back something (how impressive that something is though is always a bit hit and miss haha.)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The people who are willing to share their experiences and open their homes to travellers to give a glimpse into what it's like to live in their hometown are in my experience the best kind of people and couch surfing seems to be the place to meet them!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love a bit of everything when it comes to music but my favourites are Florence and the machine, grouplove, the strumbellas, the Lumineers and Beyoncé!

When it comes to movies I love my silly comedies like 21 jump street and crazy stupid love but also loved the imitation game, titanic, hacksaw ridge, Chicago and McFarland. And don't even get me started on TV shows the list is far too long!

I just finished A Little Life and it was amazing, a book id recommend to everyone! I'm currently part way through Fall of Giants which is part of Ken Follets trilogy and am loving it!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Why stop at just one...
- Canyon swinging in Queenstown, New Zealand
- Going Skydiving in Byron Bay, Australia
- Helping to build a house for a family in a rural part of Siem Reap, Cambodia
- Swimming with bioluminescent phytoplankton off a floating hostel in Colombia
- Volcano Boarding down an active volcano in Nicaragua
- Camping overnight on acatenango, a volcano in Guatemala that is directly across from another extremely active volcano that erupts multiple times every night!

Teach, Learn, Share

The one thing I love about travel is meeting people and hearing their stories and tips so there's nothing I love more than getting to hear about all the amazing things you've done, seen or plan to do.
Also if you want any tips about places to visit I throughout South and Central America I'vd developed a bit of a list that I'd love to share!

What I Can Share with Hosts

The five months I've spent away so far have made me realise how much I miss baking so if your couch comes with a free kitchen I would be more than willing to fill it with the smells of cookies and cakes and all that jazz!

On a completely different end of the spectrum I have just completed my bachelors in Exercise Science so I can give you a personal training session or become your running buddy if that's more your thing.
I personally prefer a combination of the two with a baking binge followed by a workout because life is about balance right!
