About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Slow down & smell the flowers, embrace every day of life.
ABOUT ME
I'm a fun-loving person. I am mother to three teens and I love being around kids all ages, because they remind me what it feels like to be young. I've been married to Alan for 20 years this year! Who knew?! I have been obsessed with travel since I was a young child. I used to collect maps & dream of all the places I would visit. I like to help others, especially those who have less, and my loved ones. I like to cook, drink wine, and I enjoy creative writing, art & poetry. Our whole family loves to learn about different cultures & love to meet people from all over.
PHILOSOPHY
The more a person thinks he/she knows, is usually a disadvantage in life to really getting to know how much alike people really are, at heart.
Don't be judgemental........
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I hope to communicate with people from all over the world & maybe share my couch, and perhaps, visit other couches. It's wonderful to see so many others have been bitten by the travel bug.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We have stayed with mostly family or friends and crashed their pads for short visits with 3 kids & sometimes a dog! In 2005, we drove cross-country from NC to California and back through the midwest. We drove 6,475 miles in a minivan with 3 teens and a dog and no hotel reservations. We simply stayed wherever we stopped for the night. It was awesome!

My husband installs tile & hardwoods as his business. I have been the administrator for that business. He is also a triathlete (run, bike, swim) Give me the steam room or hot tub anyday, that's my idea of a workout!
