ABOUT ME

I'm from Nova Scotia originally but moved to Vancouver to go so Simon Fraser University. I started travelling when I was a kid with my family, we always camped out or stayed with our extended family. Therefore I blame my parents for my love of travelling and sleeping on floors! :)
I moved to Quebec to live and work with a French family the summer I turned 16, and two years later I moved to Yellowknife for the summer to work. I have not yet had the chance to visit Europe and Asia, but I am hoping to in the near future!
Currently I live in Burnaby, BC on the SFU campus in residence. The West Coast is beautiful and there is so much happening out here! Right now the Olympics are here (I have to remember to update this in a few weeks). The Olympics are fantastic, there are even more things to see than usual.
I am studying Archaeology & Anthropology. SFU has an amazing International program and I intend to take advantage of it by participating in International Co-Op, a field school and (hopefully) 2 exchanges.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Due to some restrictions in place in res I don't have a couch available, but I hope to be able to participate by meeting new people and discovering the West Coast together! Also, I will be travelling soon and I may be looking for a couch and some new cities for myself!

Interests

Guitar - I play the guitar, nervously around strangers :)
Photography - I love taking pictures of people/places/things and am always looking to learn more to improve my shots.
Outdoors - backpacking, camping, hiking and biking! I have not had a chance to do much of this in BC YET! In NS I loved to get out and go camping, also I did a bike commute every day to save $$$ and fell in love with the road and my bicycle.
Going Out. This could mean dinner, a pub, a club, a performance, a cultural event etc. Anything out on the town! (The Olympics were great for this).
I am a video gamer! RPGs and MMORPGs have been known to take away too much of my time!
