ABOUT ME
I am currently in school in Vermont, studying environmental law. I really love travel, love meeting people of all different backgrounds and ideas, love sharing a good meal and a great conversation. I'm really passionate about my dreams and goals and always have some scheme dancing around my life. I've given up on trying to understand life and just spend my energy appreciating it. I just moved to Vermont in August and am totally stoked to show it off to some travelers! If I am home and not swamped with school work, I'm more than happy to meet with you. And if you need somewhere to stay, I have to run it by my roommates, but we may be able to host as well!
PHILOSOPHY
I believe life is about expanding- expanding how you see yourself, your circle of friends, all the ways and places you feel at home in the world. There is no excuse not to pursue your dreams and heart's desires, even if it takes awhile. It's always worth the effort.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am just settling into a new place with a very busy schedule but may be able to host sometimes. I used to be very active in the community when I lived in bigger city hubs.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I had two GREAT experiences in Singapore, staying on a couch and meeting someone for a tour of the town. Then I started surfing stateside and met the most incredible, welcoming, lovely people I still consider friends. I was involved on a weekly basis in Colorado and have hosted lots of beautiful folks over the years, got my parents into it and we all enjoy getting to know the many personalities using this platform.
Interests
good conversation, good food, wine and coffee; the ocean, swimming, surfing; outdoors, hiking; music- listening and sharing and dancing around to; writing, reading and drawing talentless pictures with crayons

Music, Movies, and Books
Music- pickin' and grinnin' stuff that I can see the musician in, funk, lyrically driven works that turn me inside out, songs that make me want to move
Books- open to pretty much anything that doesn't highlight violence
Movies- not a big movie buff but I'm open to suggestions
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Studying with Balinese rice farmers, learning how to make tools and weapons for hunting fish, eels and insects, then learning how to cook them! And attending the Dali Lama's 75th birthday party in McLeod Ganj.
Teach, Learn, Share

What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm happy to offer some somm services during a visit! Let me know what kind of wine you typically like and I'll bring a bottle that is similar but with a new twist for you to try. Just let me know a few days in advance so there is time to find a good one :)
