Hi i'm Megan,

i'm 19, I live in a small town in the UK. I have currently just finished studying Graphic Design at college and i'm interested in taking a gap year before starting University.

I have two part-time jobs; working behind a bar and working at a software development company.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm hoping to travel to Australia in January so that I can travel along the East Coast. I'm on Couchsurfing because; while i'm there I am interested in meeting new people, including locals, and getting a real feel of the surroundings and being part of new adventures. While staying in hostels sounds fun, I think couchsurfing will be a completely different experience.

Of course, I am also interested in being a host in the future and would happily let anyone stay on my couch!

Interests

I'm a creative person and enjoy anything fun and new. I'm interested in photography and art, especially illustration/graphic design. If we meet then i'll most likely stop every 10 minutes to take photos, I like making memories last.

I have always loved the thought of travelling and have been to many countries on holiday. I also lived in South Africa when I was younger. I love new experiences and I can't wait to start travelling!

My friends mean a lot to me and i'm always keen on making new friends, no matter where I might be. I see myself as being a positive and laid-back person, I make time to help others.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't have a specific music taste, it varies a lot. I like discovering new bands and going to gigs is also something that I enjoy. A few bands that I love are; Alt-j, Bowling for Soup, Blink-182, Kodaline and The Front Bottoms.

I'm not big into horror films, but apart from that i'll watch most films. Breakfast at Tiffany's is a favourite of mine, I also like The Beach! I also love Friends, I watch it most days, I think i've seen every episode at least 10 times....

What I Can Share with Hosts

Hopefully I will be able to share my creative flair and travel experiences/ stories. Of course in the future, after my travels, I would love to be a host. Anyone is welcome to cs at mine!
