Hey there! I'm Megan from Texas. I'm studying business and a university in Ireland and I have lived abroad for almost 2 years. I'm 27 (I took the long way to get to college) and I love meeting new people and sharing new experiences. I miss my dog, who is still in Texas, and I miss good BBQ and tacos. I'm pretty easy going and I'm up for almost anything. Travel is a passion that I'm lucky enough to be able to follow. I also love being outside and in nature.

To make friends around the world! One of my favorite parts of traveling is meeting the locals and exploring a new place from a local perspective. This is my first time to use Couchsurfing, and I'm excited! I am hoping to make long term friendships built around trust, fun, and the shared interest of learning about new cultures.

兴趣

When I'm not studying I'm having coffee with friends or exploring new places. I love reading. Some of my favorite places in the world are bookshops and libraries. I listen to all kinds of music, but my favorite is folk and indie. I have a background in baking and truly appreciate great food, especially if it's homemade. Cooking is my favorite stress relief. I also love hiking and generally being outdoors. I always feel like my best self after spending lots of time outside. Craft beer is also a bit of a passion of mine. I know quite a bit (especially about American craft beer) and I am always interested in finding and trying local beer wherever I am. And, of course, traveling. I can't get enough!

2 years ago, I left my family, a great job, and my friends to move to Germany. I had never been to Germany before and spoke no German. I lived with a host family and slowly learned the language. It is still the scariest and best thing I have ever done.

I'm always interested in learning new things. I'm a very curious person and ask a lot of questions. I don't mind talking about where I'm from or my experiences. I also enjoy learning languages, although after seriously learning a second language (German), I don't think I'll ever be more than bilingual.

I love cooking, especially for other people. I can happily make a meal (and clean up after myself) for my hosts. I also know a lot about craft beer and love drinking it with like minded people. I can help with English, and generally be good company. I'm easygoing and easy to talk to and love meeting new people.
