We recently birthed a sweet 15 month old son who is extremely happy, calm, and loves to be outside! We are in southern California, pursuing our passions of agricultural, culinary, visual, and linguistic arts. We care deeply about practicing symbiosis with earth and each other. We desire to create low-maintenance, biodynamic, edible ecosystems, soil to leaf, with careful and minimal intervention only. However, we are open to learn from any system and are very respectful, we celebrate diversity!
We are learning to practice careful observation of soil, terrain, water, etc. Geoff Lawton,
john Jeavons, Bill Mollison and many others inspire us to think critically of entire systems.
We recently moved here from Iowa and have struggled in adapting to drought conditions so we have a lot of mistakes in our toolbox.

My husband is a brilliant linguist and deep thinker. He loves etymology. He can crack open words and spill out their meanings. I can be poetic sometimes. I love to paint and sing and listen to passionate preachers and lectures. Our son will show you what pure joy (on this side of life) looks like, in every smile and giggle.
