To be better.
ABOUT ME
A geek through and through. I get excited about the smallest things. I love nature, biology, dancing, singing, good music, sci fi and fantasy books, TV shows, and movies, and hanging out. I'm easy going and adapt to my surroundings well. I appreciate and hold all of the friends, family and amazing experiences I've had in life near and dear to my heart. I want to experience all I can before I can't! I'm a hard worked who always tries to help other people out. I love talking to people and catching up with them or just shooting the breeze. I'm respectful yet I also wear my heart on my sleeve. Overall, I'm an open minded, balanced person, who likes meeting new people and doing new things. I constantly try to put myself out of my comfort zone.
PHILOSOPHY
Think less,
It's all a mindfuck.
Live more,
Take more chances.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I surfed in New Zealand and have hosted in the US!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first solo trip was to New Zealand where I stayed for a weekend with a wonderful mother and daughter duo. I was at a rough point in my trip and they saved me. I want to be able to provide that support for other fellow travelers.
Interests
Things I love:
1)Food. I love to eat good food! Nothing overly greasy or fried. I'm proudly increasing my spice (heat) tolerance.
2)Art. Contemporary and street heart have a special place in my heart.
3) Dancing. I'm all about the crazy wild ecstatic dancing that leaves you sore and breathless. I've also dabbled in some salsa and pair dancing.
4) Learning about the world. I love looking at the things around me and finding the everyday wonders.
5) Community service. I give back to the community whatever way I can because I enjoy meeting people and doing things for them.
6) Shows. My favorite shows include Cowboy Bebop, Doctor Who, House, FLCL, Castle

Music, Movies, and Books
1) Books. My favorite genres are dystopian, science fiction, and surrealism. I'm a huge fan of the Ender's Game series, Philip K. Dick, Brave New World and the Giver. I also enjoy anything by Haruki Murakami, Charles Bukowski, and Chuck Palaniuk. The Girl on the Fridge by Etgar Keret is also quietly astonishing. Currently reading 1984 by George Orwell.
2)Music. I love all sorts of music typically electronic/indie/alternative/jazz. My current obsessions are Baths, Blackmill and Gang Starr. I can play the piano although I haven't in quite some time.
3) Movies. My favorite movie is The Matrix. I love Guy Richie and David Fincher so Fight Club, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch and Sherlock Holmes are at the top of my list. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Paprika, and Waking Life are also winners.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The Art in the Streets exhibit at the Museum of Contemporary Art: Geffen Contemporary. There was a stunning array of beauty. It made me realize glory of the everyday world and how individuals can brigthen up the world for everyone just because.
Snokelling and scuba diving the Great Barrier Reef July 2012.
Montaineering up Mt Ruapehu in New Zealand August 2012.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to say awkward in sign language, to ride a bike, and to solve part of a Rubik's Cube.
I will always be a student and I'm working on being a teacher.
If asked, I'll share.
