Hey couch surfers! My name is Megan Lledo and I currently reside in Southern, Oregon but hail from Baltimore Maryland. I've traveled to every state in America except 5 at this point. Last year alone I crossed the country by van 4 times. Growing up, my father was in the air force and we moved frequently. As a child, moving all the time upset me but looking back, i can attribute my never ending wanderlust and expanded world view on these early experiences. I can't sit still and I wouldn't change it. I went to school for massage therapy and have a great interest in learning healing arts including massage modalities and herbal remedies. Through backpacking I've gained a small store of knowledge on plant identification and wilderness survival but I feel as though I've only scraped the surface and would value accumulating more skills through sharing with fellow outdoors enthusiasts. I love hot springs and make it my mission to track as many down as possible. Seeing live bands, especially in diy house spaces, has been my favorite thing to do since i was 15. I love punk, especially when its played in a basement. All types of music intrigue me. I used to volunteer at music festivals such as Bonnaroo, All Good, Gathering of the Vibes, etc,, from 2009 to 2014. I really enjoyed working the prefest jobs. I would decorate the festival ground, set up VIP lounges, stage production work, all of it. Working at the festivals and helping set up gave me a sense of community and worth, which are extremely important to me. I'm a friendly person who gets along with most everyone I meet and am always interested in getting to know new people.

I enjoy traveling not being a tourist. When I travel I want to interact with people who are actually a part of the community I visit not just employees of the tourist machine. Couch surfing is a great tool to meet real people in real life and experience how they see their home.

One amazing thing i've done is hitchhike from Oslo, Norway all the way to the Lofoten peninsula, then over to Riksgransen Sweden and back down all the way to Norrkopping.
