About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see the world. Meet interesting people with fascinating stories.

ABOUT ME

I'm very open, friendly, kind, and energetic. I'm fun, a good cook/baker, and caring. I'm adventerous and love to meet new people from all over the world. From my travels I've made lots of very good friends in many different countries.

I recently moved to Philadelphia after teaching in South Korea for 4 1/2 years. New to the city and always up for meeting new people! My roommates are sisters from Bangladesh, couch surfing is not their thing, which is why I cannot host.

PHILOSOPHY

Be kind. Be fun. Be interesting.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been able to host someone in my apartment in Naju. It was a really fun experience. I enjoyed the conversations!
I've had nothing but positive experiences when couch surfing. People have been so kind and it's great to see places through a locals perspective!

Interests

I love adventure, trying new things and meeting new people. I spend my time with friends, traveling to new places, taking pictures, learning new things (right now trying to speak Korean). I also like to relax, read, go to the beach.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm always awestruck by the kindness of strangers in a foreign land. No matter where I go I'm surprised at how wonderful people can be. It's really nice to be reminded that people are STILL GOOD. Especially the kindness when you don't speak their language, but yet they are willing to stop what they are doing to help you. It's awesome and makes me appreciate traveling that much more.
I went to Morocco and stayed with a family, a poor family. But no matter how little money they had, they opened their door to me, kept me well fed, bought me presents and were just amazing. It meant the world to me to be welcomed like part of their family.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn to speak another language.

I'm a former swim instructor, English teacher and excellent cook/baker... always willing to show someone a thing or two!
